The Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety (IDOT/DTS) “DUI
Enforcement Award” program provides a continuing recognition system for officers who excel in arresting impaired drivers. Awards are presented to any police officer who has made at least 25 DUI arrests since the beginning of 2001.
As an officer's DUI arrests accumulate, he or she will be rewarded with new awards that indicate the different levels the officer has achieved. IDOT/DTS is proud to recognize the officers who make our roads safer by aggressively enforcing DUI laws.

Trooper Scott Becker

Trooper Scott Becker patrols the roads of Illinois State Police (ISP) District 11, which includes the Metro- East counties of Bond, Clinton, Madison, Monroe and St. Clair. Without question, he is one of Illinois' “Top Cops” when it comes to ridding our roads of impaired drivers.
Trooper Becker started his law enforcement career as a juvenile officer at the Juvenile Detention Center in Belleville. He later moved on to the ISP beginning his career there on April 4, 1999. His first ISP assignment was as a trooper on the Illinois Tollway in the Chicago area. In 2001, he transferred to District 11 where he continues his great work.
Since 2001, Trooper Becker has made 574 DUI arrests. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his exceptional DUI enforcement efforts from the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Southwestern Illinois Law Enforcement Commission.
Trooper Becker leads law enforcement in DUI arrests in Southern Illinois.
Like so many great law enforcement officers, Scott has police work in his blood. His father, Dennis Becker recently retired from the US Department of Justice's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). His brother, Ryan, is also with the ATF. Another brother, Sean, works for the St. Louis County (MO) Sheriff's Department.
